HISTORY - ORIGINALLY FROM GUERNSEY

The de Mouilpied name is originally from Guernsey, one of the Channel Islands between France and England. Click MAP. The deMouilpied name dates back to the late 1500's. Before that? Research shows the family fled from France. But there will be more to the story as this blog unfolds.
My guess is we are all related, even if it means going back 400 hundred years or more. Stay tuned...

CHATEAU de MOUILLEPIED, FRANCE

CHATEAU de MOUILLEPIED, FRANCE
This Chateau lies in the vacinity of where the de Mouilpied Family is to have originated from. Du Port was Lord of Mouillepied and Bois Masson and fled as a Huegonut to Guernsey. Early Guernsey records show this original spelling. Is this the original Chateau? We do not know for sure, but we hope so! It is beautiful. CLICK on the map to take you to the Chateau, now a Bed & Breakfast.
